Sports Desk:

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have mutually agreed to defer India’s white-ball tour of Bangladesh, which was originally scheduled for August this year.

The rescheduled tour will now take place in September in 2026.

The bilateral series comprises three One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

According to a media release from the BCB on Saturday, the decision to shift the tour was made after discussions between the two boards, taking into consideration the international cricketing commitments and scheduling convenience of both teams.

The postponement comes at a time when global cricket calendars are increasingly congested, with multiple international and domestic tournaments taking place throughout the year.

Both boards expressed confidence that the deferred dates will better accommodate the teams’ preparations and ensure an engaging series for fans and stakeholders.

“The BCB looks forward to welcoming India in September 2026 for this eagerly anticipated series,” the release stated.

Revised dates and fixtures for the tour will be announced in due course.
