BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed has said that the interim government is gradually becoming an entity of a political party.

He said, “Democracy is not yet safe. There’re many kinds of confusion about when the free and fair elections will be held. This is not supposed to happen.”

He said this after paying tribute to the leaders and activists at the tomb of BNP founder martyr President Ziaur Rahman in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Monday morning.

Rizvi said, “Bangladesh was a prison built by Sheikh Hasina. She turned the entire Bangladesh into an Aynaghor. It was not possible to hide in Bangladesh. Those who launder money have moved freely with pride. If the murderers and assassins had the seal of the Awami League, they would have become the most respected people in society.”

He also said, “Various kinds of weaknesses are gradually being seen in the interim government. There is unrest in the society. There is a serious deterioration in law and order, the economic situation is becoming complicated. The tax rate has reached 50 percent. These problems will increase further if a government is not formed through elections.”
