Former Pakistan player Inzamam-ul-Haq has accused India of ball-tampering against Australia.

He said something was done to the ball, which caused Arshdeep Singh to get a reverse swing during Australia’s innings.

India defeated Australia by 24 runs in their last Super 8 match and advanced to the semi-final.

Arshdeep took three wickets. He dismissed David Warner in the first over of the innings and then got rid of Matthew Wade and Tim David in the 18th.

Inzamam felt that there was something fishy and urged the officials to keep their eyes open.

“Arshdeep Singh was able to reverse swing the ball in the 15th over. Isn’t it too early for the new ball to start reverse-swing? The ball was ready to reverse by the 12th-13th over. Umpires should be alert. If Arshdeep was able to reverse the ball, some work was done on it,” Inzamam said on the ‘World Cup Hungama’ Show on Pakistan’s 24 News channel.

For the record, Umar Gul was able to reverse swing the ball from the 12th over during Pakistan’s T20 World Cup winning campaign in 2009.

Meanwhile, India will face England in the second semi-final on June 27.
