Entertainment Desk:
Director Biplob Hayder had initially planned to release the movie “Ali”, featuring actor Irrfan Sajjad, on Eid-ul-Azha. However, he decided to change that plan at the last moment. Now, the movie is scheduled to hit theaters across the country on 18 July.
“Ali” tells the story of a man named Ali, who faces challenges due to autism, and explores his relationship with his sister. While the film includes action elements, it places a strong emphasis on the bond between the siblings.
Irrfan Sajjad plays the titular role. Irrfan Sajjad shared, “The emotions of two siblings are the soul of the movie Ali. I played a mute character, which meant I had to use sign language throughout the film. This was a new experience for me, and I paused all my other work four months before shooting.”
He added, “I learned sign language and spoke with various individuals who work with those on the autism spectrum. I made no compromises in portraying Ali faithfully on screen. I aimed to break away from the usual image that audiences have of me. I truly believe that viewers will leave the cinema satisfied.”
Irrfan Sajjad’s journey started with his debut film “Mon Jaane Na Moner Thikana,” which came out in 2016. He gained significant recognition with his 2017 release, “Bhalobaasha Emoni Hoy”. More recently, he starred in the film “Bhoyaal”, which was released at the end of last year, also directed by Biplob Hayder.
Additionally, fans can look forward to his upcoming film “Football 71,” directed by Anam Biswas, which is set to be released soon.
