Actor Jacqueline Fernandez walked the red carpet of the Cannes International Film Festival as part of the ‘Women in Cinema’ gala. The actor looked stunning in her jewelled shirt, and also in her red corset gown.

Actor Jacqueline Fernandez represented India at the ongoing Cannes International Film Festival. The actor, dressed in a stunning red corset gown, looked fantastic as she participated in the Women in Cinema gala by the Red Sea Film Festival at the prestigious festival.

The actor talked about shaping narratives on and off the screen, as she joined global artistes, including ‘Zambian-Welsh’ director Rungano Nyoni, Egyptian actor Amina Khalil, Syrian filmmaker Gaya Jiji, Saudi actor Elham Ali, multidisciplinary Jeddah-based artiste Sarah Taiba, and Thai actor Engfa Waraha.

While on the first day, she kept her appearance accessory-heavy and styled her basic white shirt with a lot of metal accessories. She kept her hair tied in a sleek braid. For her second appearance at the festival, the actor went all big with her statement look.

The 39-year-old paired a corset velvet bodice with a mermaid-styled silk skirt. The highlight of the look remained her exaggerated floral sleeves.

An official Instagram account of the Red Sea Film Foundation shared Fernandez’s photos from Cannes. The caption of their post read, “On the sidelines of the 78th Cannes Film Festival, we were pleased to host “Women in Cinema” celebrating women’s cinematic contributions. In attendance was Jacqueline Fernandez, one of our spotlighted women (sic).”

The Women in Cinema initiative by the Red Sea Film Festival highlights dynamic women who are rewriting cinematic language, and Fernandez’s participation aligned perfectly with that vision. As she walked the red carpet in the French Riviera, she carried a bit of India, and Indian cinema with herself.
