The leaders and activists of Gono Odhikar Parishad (GOP) allegedly vandalised the district office of Jatiya Party (JaPa) in Tangail on Saturday morning, August 30.

The district unit of Gono Odhikar Parishad brought out a procession in the town around 11:00am to protest against the attack on the party’s leaders and activists, including President Nurul Haque Nur, allegedly by the law enforcers and the Jatiya Party activists in Dhaka.

Later, they, with the procession, went to the JaPa office beside the Sadar police station and allegedly carried out vandalism there.

In this regard, Sadar police station officer-in-charge Tanvir Hasan said they tried to prevent them from attacking the office and now police are deployed on the scene.
