Bhorer Kagoj Editor Shyamal Dutta along with his family members earlier 
tried to fleeing India throughout the border, but 
they were forced to go back their pavilion by 
the immigration police soon after fall of 
the Hasina government.

Journalists Mozammel Babu, Shyamal Dutta and two others were detained by locals while they were entering India illegally through Dhobaura border area under Mymensingh district.

Dhobaura police station’s officer in charge Md Chan Mia said locals detained and handed them over to police. The locals detained them on Monday at around 6:00am along with a private car from the border area.

The two others detained are Ekattor TV’s senior correspondent Mahbubur Rahman and private car driver Selim Reza.

The arrested have been remained under police custody at the thana, said the OC.
