Journalist Kamal Uddin Majumdar has been appointed as Managing Director (MD) and Chief-Editor of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS) on a contractual basis.

The one-year appointment will be effective from his date of joining.

The appointment was announced on Tuesday through a notification issued by Ministry of Public Administration and signed by Deputy Secretary Golam Rabbani on behalf of the President, citing Section 10(1) of Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha Act, 2018.

According to the notification, before assuming the role, Majumdar must resign from any other profession, business or employment in government, semi-government or private institutions. Other terms of his appointment will be determined through a separate contractual agreement.
