The expulsion order was given through a press release signed by Kamarkhand Upazila Chhatra Dal convener Md. Mahmudul Hasan and Member Secretary Md. Tanvir Islam on Wednesday night.
The press briefing revealed that, this action has been taken against Munna Sarkar on charges of being involved in activities against organizational discipline.
Confirming the information on Thursday (August 21) afternoon, Kamarkhand Upazila Chhatra Dal Member Secretary Md. Tanvir Islam said, “Munna Sarkar has been expelled as all the allegations against him have been proven. We will not accept any wrongdoing.”
It is worth noting that, journalist Rubel Talukder recently published news about various activities of Munna Sarkar on an online news portal called ‘Janatar Alo’. Due to this, it was alleged that Munna and his associates kidnapped and tortured Rubel. Later, when the journalist’s family contacted the Sirajganj army camp, the army rescued him and returned him to his family. Based on this incident, Chhatra Dal took strict organizational measures against the accused leader to protect the image of their organization.
