BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia has returned home after undergoing a medical check-up at Evercare Hospital in the capital.

She arrived at her residence, “Firoza,” located on Road 79, Gulshan-2, at 2:52 AM on Early Thursday.

Earlier, she left Evercare Hospital for home at 2:26 AM after the medical check-up.

The BNP chairperson had gone to the hospital at 1:48 AM for an emergency health examination.

This information was confirmed by BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.

Khaleda Zia’s personal physician and BNP Standing Committee member, Prof Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, said, “She was taken to the hospital based on the advice of the medical board assigned to her care, and she has now returned home.”

He further stated that Begum Khaleda Zia was taken to the hospital because the medical board required some urgent tests to be carried out.
