Kulsum Akter Moni edged past Si-yu Chen of Chinese Taipei by one point to bag the bronze medal in the women’s compound individual event of the Asian Archery Championships 2025 in Dhaka on Thursday.

Kulsum beat Si-yu by 145-144 points (29-30, 29-29, 29-29, 28-29, 30-27) to secure Bangladesh’s second medal in the tournament so far.

Earlier, in the morning session, Bonna Akter and Himu Bachhar had clinched silver in the compound mixed team event.

Kulsum, earlier, narrowly lost in the semi-final to Prithika Pradeep of India by 145-146 points (30-30, 29-29, 29-30, 28-28, 29-29). That defeat sent her into the bronze medal match — where she won her first medal in the competition.
