Television and film actor KushumShikder is all set to release her directorial debut. The film titled “ShoroterJoba” is slated to hit the country’s theatres in September. The movie has already received censor certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board.

The filming of the project was completed last year. The shooting of the film took place at Pahardanga in Kaliaupazila of Narail. Through the project, Kushum has also returned to acting after five years.

“I’m very optimistic about my directorial debut ‘ShoroterJoba’. The film is based on a story from my book ‘AjagotikChhaya’. Besides directing, I’m also the producer of the project. All the work of the film has been completed. Now we are planning to release the film in theatres September next”, KushumShikder said to the media.

Besides KushumShikder, the film also stars Yash Rohan, Jitu Ahsan, ShahidulAlamSachchu, NareshBhuiyan, Mahmudul Islam Mithu, AshokeBepari and others.

KushunShikder came into the limelight with “Lux-Anandhara Photogenic Championship” in 2002. Then, she has acted in many dramas and serials. Kushum made her debut on the silver screen with the movie “GohineShobdo” in 2010 and she won the National Film Award in the Best Actress category for her performance in the movie “Shankhachil” directed by Gautam Ghosh in 2016. The actress was last seen in a television drama, directed by Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar in 2018.
