Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni marked her birthday on October 24 in Malaysia, far from the glamorous celebration that once defined her special day in Dhaka’s showbiz circle.

The 33-year-old actress shared her reflections on Facebook, writing: “Life is not just about surviving—it’s about celebrating being alive. Today’s life embraces joy, sorrow, pain, and happiness—all of it.”

Born as Shamsunnahar Smrity in Satkhira on October 24, 1992, Pori Moni’s journey to stardom reads like a film script. After losing her mother at age three, she was raised by her maternal grandparents in Pirojpur. Her acting career began with TV dramas before her film debut in 2015.

She gained recognition through successful films like “Bhalobasha Shimaheen”, “Swapnajaal”, “Bishwoshundori”, and “Maa”, proving her range from romantic roles to emotionally complex characters.

In 2022, motherhood transformed Pori Moni. She frequently shares moments with her two children on social media, calling them her greatest joy. Despite facing legal troubles in 2021 and constant media scrutiny, she has remained resilient.

Recently addressing death rumors, she went live on Facebook, laughing: “I’m not the kind of woman who’d commit suicide. I’m happy—with my child, with my work.”

On Friday Pori Moni continues living life on her own terms—as an actress, mother, and survivor who turns every challenge into strength. Her quiet Malaysian birthday reflects a woman who has found peace beyond the spotlight.
