Loan defaulters are higher during BNP’s regime

Law Minister Anisul Haque spoke to reporters after inspecting the work of the under-construction bridge over the Titas river on the remote Bangaj-Krishnanagar road of Akhaura upazila in Brahmanbaria.

Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Haque commented that the list of loan defaulters was longer during BNP’s regime.

He made this comment in reply to the questions of the journalists after inspecting the work of the bridge under construction on Titas River on the remote Bangaj-Krishnanagar road of Akhaura Upazila of Brahmanbaria at around 11:30 am on Friday.

At that time, local journalists questioned the law minister about the comment made by the senior joint secretary general of BNP Ruhul Kabir Rizveer that the situation of Bangladesh Bank was dire.

The Law Minister said the BNP government ruled Bangladesh from 2001 to 2006. Then they used to exploit and torture the people of this country on the side of war criminals, Razakar, Al-Badr, and Pakistan. And now Bangladesh is developing in various fields. BNP including Mirza Fakhrul is not tolerating this development. That’s why they are upset.

Earlier, Law Minister Anisul Haque came from Dhaka to his constituency Akhaura by Mahanagar Prabhati train. Law Ministry Secretary Golam Sarwar, Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Police Superintendent Mohammad Shakhawat Hossain, Akhaura Upazila Awami League President Mohammad Ali Chowdhury, Municipal Mayor Takzil Khalifa Kajal and many others were present.

Later, the minister left for his village home in Paniyarup of Kasba upazila.
