BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has stated that the longer the election is delayed, the greater the conspiracies will grow.

He accused former autocrats of conspiring with domestic and international allies while addressing the inaugural session of the BNP Chuadanga District Conference 2024 on Saturday.

BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir inaugurated the conference at the Town Football Ground in Chuadanga this morning.

Tarique Rahman joined the session virtually, emphasising that reforms can only be implemented through elected representatives.

“The reforms proposed by the current government are also aligned with BNP’s vision. However, delays in elections under the guise of extensive reforms may provide opportunities for conspirators,” he said.

He further added that resolving the country’s existing crises is possible only through a fair and credible election.
