Low pressure over Bay of Bengal may bring rain

It rained on Tuesday in various parts of the country including the capital. It rained in many places on Wednesday also. As a result, the temperature has dropped.

The Meteorological Department says it may rain in different parts of the country today and Thursday. It will reduce the temperature in many places. But the temperature may rise again from tomorrow Friday. The trend of rain may increase again next week.

Seasonal normal low pressure prevails over the South Bay of Bengal. A part of Western Low Pressure lies over West Bengal and nearby areas of India. This western low pressure is responsible for the current rains, say meteorologists.

In the last 24 hours, Dinajpur received the highest rainfall in the country, 56 mm. It rained 13 mm in the capital at this time. Due to rain, the temperature has dropped in different parts of the country including the capital. The minimum temperature in the capital was 25.1 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. It dropped to 21.2 degrees Celsius on Wednesday.

On Wednesday, except for the Chattogram division, almost all the divisions of the country received rain in some places. Even today, it may rain in different parts of the country, according to the Department of Meteorology, even if the rain decreases a little from Friday, there may be more or less rain.

Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, and Mymensingh divisions may increase temperature by 1 to 3 degrees Celsius on Thursday. However, the temperature may drop by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius in the other divisions, including Dhaka.

However, the temperature may rise everywhere in the country from Friday. After that, the rain may increase on the 26th of this month. Then the temperature may drop again.
