The consumer-level price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased for the month of January.

The price of a 12-kilogramme LPG cylinder has been raised by Tk53, from Tk1,253 to Tk1,306.

The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) announced the new prices on Sunday, which will come into effect from this evening.

At the same time, the price of autogas has also been increased. The per-liter price of autogas has been raised by Tk2.48, from Tk57.32 to Tk59.80.

Earlier in December, the price of a 12-kilogramme LPG cylinder was increased by Tk38 to Tk1,253, while the price of autogas was raised by Tk1.74 to Tk57.32 per litre.
