He noted that “The ‘Made in Bangladesh Exhibition-2025’ is a significant step towards strengthening the ties between Brazil and Bangladesh. This initiative provides a platform for businesses to showcase their excellence and forge meaningful partnerships. I am confident this event will further enhance mutual understanding and pave the way for greater economic cooperation.”
The Ambassador also said the expo will strengthen connectivity and cooperation between the two countries. It will help to boost not only trade but also investment.
“Although there had been plans to import beef from Brazil to Bangladesh, it was not possible during the previous government due to bureaucratic complications and lack of certification,” he claimed.
In his welcome address, Saiful Alam highlighted the chamber’s commitment to promote bilateral trade and investment.
He said, “The Expo aligns perfectly with BBCCI’s vision of fostering economic collaboration and opening new avenues for Bangladeshi entrepreneurs. This is a golden opportunity for our exporters to penetrate new markets and elevate their businesses to a global stage. Whether you’re a leader in the garment industry, a pioneer in jute products, or a trailblazer in pharmaceuticals, this event is your gateway to international growth.
Joynal Abdin described the Expo as a bridge between cultures and commerce. “With bilateral trade between Bangladesh and Brazil valued at $2.53 billion in 2022, the potential for exponential growth is undeniable. The Expo offers a platform to explore synergies, such as Bangladesh’s jute aligning with Brazil’s sustainability goals and Brazilian industrial equipment supporting Bangladesh’s industrialization,” he said.
He further emphasized the event’s goals—Diversifying markets for Bangladeshi exporters, Increasing trade volumes and fostering investment partnerships, and promoting innovation and collaboration across industries.
“The Expo will feature targeted business-to-business (B2B) matchmaking, policy discussions, and cultural showcases, fostering partnerships that go beyond commerce to strengthen mutual understanding and growth,” he added.
