BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that there is a major conspiracy behind the killing of Inqilab Mancha Spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi.

Salahuddin Ahmed made the remark in response to journalists’ questions in front of the BNP chairperson’s office in Gulshan on Saturday afternoon.

He further stated that local and foreign conspirators, along with the accomplices of fascist authoritarianism, may be involved in Hadi’s killing in order to delay the election.

“Democracy and the path to elections cannot be obstructed by creating anarchy in the country,” he said.

He also added that, through BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman’s return to the country will send a clear message that no conspiracy will be able to take root anymore.

“There will be a gathering of hundreds of thousands on the day of Tarique Rahman’s return,” the BNP leader said, adding that it will foil all conspiracies against the country.

This BNP Standing Committee member also stated that a decision regarding the nomination for the remaining 28 seats of BNP will be made very soon.

On Friday, BNP acting chairperson received the travel documents necessary to travel to Bangladesh, with his arrival to the country slated for 25 December.
