A young man has been hacked to death by miscreants in Shialkol, Sadar Upazila of Sirajganj.

On Thursday morning, the police recovered the body of the unidentified young man from the small Shialkol village in Shialkol Union.

Sub-Inspector (SI) Saiful Islam of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station said the youth was brutally hacked and had his throat slit at some point during the night.

Later, locals noticed the body lying on the ground and informed the police. The police then recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Sirajganj Shaheed M Monsur Ali Medical College Hospital.

SI Islam further mentioned, “The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) has been notified to identify the deceased. A motorcycle was also recovered from beside the body. An investigation is underway.”
