Bangladesh Meteorological Department on Monday forecasted rain likely to occur at some places over the two coastal and port divisions but mainly dry weather likely elsewhere over the country for the next 24 hours begins from this morning.
“Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur at one or two places over Khulna,
Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country,” according to the forecast that begins 9am on Monday.
Seasonal low lies over the South Bay, extending its trough to the North Bay.
A low pressure area is likely to form over the Southwest Bay and its adjoining area during the next 36 hours. Thereafter, it is likely to move slowly nearly westwards towards Tamil Nadu/Sri Lanka coasts during subsequent two-days.
Country’s maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 34.5 degree Celsius at Feni and today’s minimum temperature 17.7 degree Celsius was recorded at Tetulia.
Country’s maximum rainfall for the last twenty-four hours till 6am today was recorded 01 millimeters (mm) at Chattogram and Ambagan respectively.
Night and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country. The sun sets at 05.14pm today and rises at 06.12am tomorrow in the capital.
