Police recovered a mini truck from Sirajganj within 5 hours of it being stolen from Gazipur’s Konabari area.

Two people involved in the incident have been arrested.

The arrested suspects are Zayed, 40, and Hridoy, 22, said Md Salah Uddin, officer-in-charge of Konabari Police Station under Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) on Monday last night. He said Suman Mia from Konabari filed a complaint stating that between 12:30pm and 1:15pm on Monday, unidentified thief/thieves stole his Tata mini truck from in front of the mosque adjacent to Ambag Mitali Club under Konabari Police Station.

After receiving this complaint, a case was filed at the police station. Later, the Investigating Officer Sub-inspector Monir Hossain analysed information obtained through information technology assistance and reliable sources, and immediately launched an operation.

The investigating officer then conducted a raid in the Jamuna Bridge West Police Station area of Sirajganj on Monday evening and was able to arrest the suspects within five hours of the theft.

At that time, the stolen mini truck was recovered from the custody of the suspects and seized.

Salah Uddin further said legal proceedings against the arrested suspects in this incident are underway.
