Desk Report:
This year, the rate of Fitra has been set at a maximum of Tk 2,970 and a minimum of Tk 115 per person. The decision was taken at the National Fitra Determination Committee meeting held at the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram meeting room on Thursday (March 21).
Before this, the members of the National Fitra Determination Committee composed of prominent muftis and scholars will be present in the Baitul Mukarram meeting room of the capital, said Shayla Sharmin, assistant public relations officer of the Islamic Foundation. Khatib Hafez Mufti Maulana Mohammad Ruhul Amin of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque is the president of Sadaqatul Fitra Determination Committee.
The amount of Fitra per person has been determined based on the market prices of flour, dates, raisin, cheese, and some other essential items in 1444 Hijri. The minimum and maximum levels of Fitra are set by taking the price of these goods across the country into consideration.
