A Correspondent, Natore:

A minor child drowned in a pond in Natore’s Naldanga on Wednesday.

The deceased was Abdullah, 2, son of Sohel Rana, a resident of Haludghar village under Naldanga municipality.

Local municipal councilor Jahangir Hossain said the child was playing on the yard of their house in the morning. At one stage, he fell into a pond next to the house.

Later, family members recovered the body from the pond.

Naldanga Police Station officer-in-charge Mostafizur Rahman confirmed it.
