Popular Bangladeshi actor Rafiath Rashid Mithila-starrer new Tollywood film “Aranyer Prachin Probad” will be released in theatres in West Bengal on Friday.

Mithila will be seen opposite Tollywood actor Jeetu Kamal in the Dulal Dey-directed film. Jeetu will portray the character of a detective while Mithila has acted in the role of a nurse in the film.

“Aranyer Prachin Probad” will be the debut film of Dulal Dey, who also wrote the script. The movie also features Shilajit Majumder, Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, Sayan Ghosh, Piya Debnath, Ananya Banerjee and others.

The teaser of the detective thriller was released on 29 May. The 57-second teaser shows glimpses of several characters from the film including Mithila.

Earlier, Mithila-starrer Kolkata’s film “O Abhagi” directed by Anirban Chakrabarty was released in March this year. She also got praises for her portrayal as Lady Macbeth in the 2023 Tollywood film “Maya”.

The actor was last seen in the Bangladeshi film “Kajol Rekha” directed by Giasuddin Selim on Eid-ul-Fitr. She portyayed the role of Konkon Dasi in the film.
