Senior journalist Monir Haidar has been appointed as a special assistant (consensus building) to Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus.
This information was disclosed in a notification issued by the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday.
According to the notification, signed by Abul Hayat Md Rafique, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Monir Haidar has been appointed to the position on a contractual basis with the rank of senior secretary for a tenure of six months, effective from the date of joining.
The appointment is subject to the condition that he let off any affiliation with other professions, businesses or employment in government, semi-government, or private organizations.
The notification further says that the terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined by the contract.
