Entertainment Desk:
Renowned actor Mosharraf Karim has made his playback debut in Fazlul Kabir Tuhin’s film “Bildakini”. The song, titled “Bhalo Bhalo Lage Na”, has been penned and composed by Mosharraf himself. In addition to lending his voice, the actor has also performed the song on-screen in the film. The track was recently released under the G-Series banner.
Director Fazlul Kabir Tuhin shared the story behind this collaboration, stating, “The song ‘Bhalo Bhalo Lage Na’ was written by Mosharraf bhai a long time ago. During informal hangouts, we often sang it together. For a particular prison scene in the film, I felt this song would be a perfect fit. When I shared the idea with Mosharraf bhai, he asked who would sing it. I told him it would sound best in his voice. He agreed, and we recorded the song.”
A film adaptation of noted writer Nuruddin Jahangir’s novel “Bildakini” explores themes of women’s empowerment and the freedom of motherhood. Starring Mosharraf Karim and Indian actress Parno Mittra in lead roles, the film was slated for release in theatres on January 24. However, uncertainty has arisen regarding its release, as the director reconsiders the date due to the country’s political situation. A final decision is expected to be announced tomorrow (January 21).
Speaking on the matter, director Fazlul Kabir Tuhin shared, “We have been experiencing a period of instability for the past few months. Audiences are not frequenting theatres during this time. Distributors have also expressed their concerns about the situation. Therefore, we are reconsidering the release. We will make a decision tomorrow, after which the final release date will be announced.
