TAHSAN KHAN’S MARRIAGE AND RETIREMENT FROM MUSIC
In early 2025, singer and actor Tahsan Khan tied the knot with US-based makeup artist Roza Ahmed. This marked his second marriage following his divorce from Mithila. Later in the year, Tahsan shocked fans by announcing his retirement from singing. The popular artiste said the decision was influenced by his career journey, mental well-being, and thoughts about the future, leaving many admirers saddened.
WEDDING OF MEHAZABIEN AND ADNAN AL RAJEEV
Popular small-screen actress Mehazabien Chowdhury married her longtime partner, director Adnan Al Rajeev, in February. Although their relationship was considered an “open secret” within the entertainment industry, the couple had never spoken about it publicly. The rumours were finally confirmed when they tied the knot on 15 February, Valentine’s Day.
NUSRAAT FARIA ARRESTED AT THE AIRPORT
Actress Nusraat Faria was arrested by immigration police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on 18 May while she was preparing to travel to Thailand. An arrest warrant had been issued against her in a case filed at Bhatara Police Station. Faria is among 17 actors named in an attempted murder case linked to the July uprising.

One of the biggest surprises of the year was popular singer and cricket enthusiast Asif Akbar becoming a Director of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). He was elected in the October 2025 BCB elections, drawing widespread attention from both the music and sports communities.
