A motorcyclist was killed in a road accident on the Bogura-Nagorbari highway near Shamolipara bus terminal in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj district on Thursday evening.
The deceased was identified as Shafiqul Islam, 45, son of late Sohrab Ali of Borokhal village in Dewanganj thana of Jamalpur district and also a worker of BRAC.
Police said, the accident took place at around 7:30 pm when the bike collided with a tank lorry by slipping due to stones and sand kept on the roadside.
Police recovered the body and sent it to morgue for autopsy. A case was lodged with the respective police station in this connection.
