Entertainment Desk:
A concert title “Mukti Concert” will be held in the capital on 31 August. The Bangladesh Musical Bands Association (BAMBA) is going to organise the event to support the injured and their families in the anti-discrimination movement of students which led to the fall of Sheikh Hasina government.
BAMBA announced the news in post on their Facebook page on Monday. “Join us for the # MuktiConcert on August 31st in Dhaka, Bangladesh! In a time of great change, music has the power to unite us. BAMBA is proud to present this day-long event, featuring performances by top Bangladeshi bands and more! But this concert is more than just music – it’s a call to action. We’re standing in solidarity with the injured revolutionaries of the student movement and the families of those who fought for freedom and justice”, the post reads.
However, the venue and the names of participating bands have yet to be disclosed.
BAMBA Vice President Sheikh Monirul Alam Tipu has also confirmed the matter to the media. He said, “We are going to organise a concert on 31 August. We have decided to arrange the event after a meeting with all members of the organisation. We will disclose the details of the musical show soon.”
BAMBA started its journey in 1987 through a concert to help the flood victims. Since then, the organisation has been arranging concerts and charity shows for various social welfare activities.
