Munnar admitted responsibility for raping dead women in the morgue

Dom Munna Bhagat (20) has confessed to raping the dead women kept in the morgue.

Police produced him in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court on Friday. At this time, he voluntarily admitted his responsibility and agreed to give a statement, so the investigating officer requested to record it. Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mamunur Rashid recorded the application. He then ordered him to be sent to jail.

Earlier, the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the police arrested him. A case was then lodged at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar police station.

According to CID sources, the arrested Munna worked as an accomplice of Dom Jatan Kumar Lal in the morgue of Suhrawardy Hospital in the capital. He had been raping dead women in the morgue for two or three years.
