Bangladesh spin bowling consultant Mushtaq Ahmed left Galle ahead of the ongoing Test match against Sri Lanka and is expected to rejoin the team during the ODI series, scheduled to begin in early July.

Team management sources confirmed that Mushtaq departed on 17 June, shortly before the start of the first Test.

“BCB and Mushtaq have a contract based on the number of working days. He was present during the preparation phase and left after completing his scheduled duties. He will return on July 6.”

Mushtaq had been actively involved in the lead-up to the Test, working with the spinners in the training sessions back in Dhaka and in Galle.
