BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed has said that the nation cannot be divided anymore by speaking for or against independence.
He has said that in Bangladesh, trade has been done in the name of the spirit of the Liberation War. People have been divided for various political purposes. The nation cannot be divided by speaking for or against independence.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organized at the CIRDAP auditorium in the capital on Saturday afternoon. The CHTRF organized a discussion titled ‘Adivasis, Minority Ethnic Groups and National Security Thought in the Context of Bangladesh’.
Salahuddin Ahmed said, “Bangladesh must be formed as a strong democratic state without discrimination. Everyone must be aware of national and international conspiracies.”
He also said, “The fascists are a big threat to the security of Bangladesh. The armed forces, security forces and intellectuals must be aware so that any national and international plan regarding this territory cannot succeed.”
The program was presided over by CHTRF Chairman Mehedi Hasan Palash. In his speech, he gave a detailed idea about ‘tribals’, ‘small ethnic groups’ etc. The main article was presented by security analyst Major General (Retd.) Dr. Md. Naeem Ashfaq Chowdhury.
