The National Cooperative Day was observed in Shahzadpur of Sirajganj district on Saturday with the initiatives of local upazila administration and cooperative department.

The theme of the day was ‘Country will build with cooperative to make it free from discrimination’.

Marking the day, a procession that marched the main roads in the town was brought out from Upazila Parishad Chattar led by UNO Md Kamruzzaman.

Later, a discussion meeting was also held at the Shaheed Shamsuddin Memorial Hall Room of Upazila Parishad with Mokhlesur Rahman, Upazila Cooperative Officer of Shahzadpur in the chair.

Upazila Fisheries Officer Ismat Zahan, Upazila Statistics Officer Moklesur Rahman, Deputy Manager (Committee) of Milk Vita Dr Tarun Tapan Binda and prominent cooperative businessman AKM Shamim Ahmed among others were also present in the event.
