Popular actor Quazi Nawshaba Ahmed has made her return to the small screen after a long hiatus. She will be seen in the play “Ditiyo Biyer Por”, directed by noted filmmaker Chayanika Chowdhury. Irfan Sajjad and Aysha Khan will star alongside her in the project.

Nawshaba herself couldn’t recall exactly how many years it has been since her last television appearance, saying only, “After many days.”

Speaking about her return, Nawshaba said Chayanika Chowdhury’s request and the story’s appeal drew her back in front of the camera. “Chayanika didi very affectionately asked me to do this work. I regularly perform on stage, but I haven’t faced the camera for a long time. So I agreed. I don’t call it a comeback — I want to take on strong roles. Otherwise, theatre, painting, reading books, and spending time with my daughter are enough for me.”

Meanwhile, Nawshaba’s film “Saat Bhai Champa” hit theatres last Friday. The project was originally aired as a television mega-series seven years ago and was later released as a web film on OTT platforms. The actor also recently made her Tollywood debut in Anik Dutt’s film Joto Kando Kolkatatei, where her performance received wide praise. Nawshaba shared that plans are underway to release the film in Bangladesh soon.
