The newly-posted Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station Md. Humayun Kabir met with local journalists from both the print and electronic media on Tuesday afternoon.

The programme was presided over by the OC himself, while it was conducted by Shariful Islam Inna, District Correspondent of NTV. Sirajganj Press Club’s former President Helal Ahmed, former General Secretary Jakirul Islam Santu, Harun-or-Rashid Khan Hasan, Staff Reporter of The Daily Janakantha Babu Islam, District Correspondent of ATN Bangla Ferdous Hasan, Staff Reporter of Channel24 Hirok Gun, District Correspondent of The Daily Kaler Kantha Israil Hossain Babu, District Correspondent of Daily Bangladesh Pratidin Abdus Samad Sayem and District Correspondent of Independent TV Dileep Gour among others spoke on the occasion.

Sumon Chandra Das, Officer-in-Charge (Investigation) of Sirajganj Sadar PS, Second Officer of the PS Saiful Islam and journalists of different print and electronic media were also present in the event.

During the programme, the speakers said, both the police and media work for the sake of country. So, there is needed good cooperation between each other. They also vowed to work together in the public interest.
