After a long hiatus from working together, Nidra Neha and Prantar Dastidar are set to reunite on screen in Preety Dutta’s drama “Opekkha”, premiering on March 26 on the Purnota E-Tainment YouTube channel.

The duo first garnered attention with Goutam Koiri’s “Antonagar”, a Chorki original that marked their acting debuts and sparked a real-life connection. Just months after the series premiered in June 2023, the duo tied the knot.

Since then, they have collaborated on advertisements but have not appeared together in any drama or series. “Opekkha” will mark their long-awaited return as an on-screen pair.

“We received several offers to work together, but things didn’t quite fall into place initially. However, recently, I have worked on multiple projects with Prantar, with ‘Opekkha’ being the first to release Nidra.

The actress also revealed that she had signed several projects following Kazi Asad’s anthology series “Adhunik Bangla Hotel”, but due to her father’s illness, she had to stay abroad for several months, causing delays in her work.

With “Opekkha”, she is now making her return to the screen.

When asked about “Opekkha”, Prantar shared, “I play the role of a first-year university student. He is extremely kind-hearted and always ready to help others. While assisting someone in a particular situation, he crosses paths with a girl, and their bond gradually deepens.”

“However, the girl finds it difficult to come to terms with the idea of falling in love under such circumstances. Just as their connection begins to take shape, an incident at the university turns their lives upside down,” he added.

Just two days after the release of “Opekkha”, Ashfaque Nipun’s “Jimmi” will premiere on Hoichoi.

The actor also mentioned that collaborating with Jaya Ahsan, Iresh Zaker, Shahriar Nazim Joy, and Ashok Byapari has been a valuable learning experience.

Prantar and Neha revealed that they frequently discuss each other’s work. They often watch films together and engage in in-depth conversations. While they agree on many aspects, they also have differences of opinion on various subjects.

Both have multiple projects lined up for Eid, but the final release list is yet to be confirmed.
