Expressing annoyance over the prevailing instability, BNP Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan has said that restoring a political government is the only solution to the country’s social, economic and political unrest.
The government is well-informed about these issues, but a section is misguiding the interim administration, Khan said while addressing a programme held at the National Press Club in Dhaka on Friday.
BNP wants the next general election to be held by December, as the Election Commission is fully prepared, Khan said, adding that the countrymen will be denied their voting rights due to anyone’s lack of preparation, it cannot be accepted.
BNP in favour of the reforms but it will have to be based on the opinion of the stakeholders, said the BNP leader.
