Hundreds of teachers under the banner of Sadar Non-government Secondary Education Family formed a human chain at the premises of Deputy Commissioner’s office in Sirajganj town to press home their several demands.

The demands include nationalization of the non-government secondary educational institutions, keeping shut posting of government schools’ teachers to different posts of education administration and forming education reform commission as soon as possible with the view to removal of all discriminations in the educational sector.

The programme was presided over by Sazidul Islam, Headmaster of Victoria High School, while Masud Rana, Acting Principal of Sobuj Kanon High School and College, and Jahangir Alam, Headmaster of Ghorachara High School among others spoke on the occasion.

After the human chain, the teachers also submitted a memorandum to the Acting DC to meet their demands.
