Interim government chief adviser Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus said that projects taken for political purposes will be reconsidered. Now more attention should be paid to flood-affected areas.
He said this at the first Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting held after the fall of the Awami League government.
For the first time, the meeting was held at Tejgaon under the chairmanship of the Chief Adviser at his office Wednesday.
In the meeting, the chief adviser said that from now on, all information about the project will be open. The members of the advisory board agreed to take up small projects of public importance instead of mega projects.
Dr Muhammad Yunus also said that projects taken for political purposes need to be rethought. Mega projects should also be scrapped. Must work impartially and independently. Work on project formulation and implementation. Everything in the project will be open. Not only PD will know but everyone will know. Not big projects, small projects of public importance will be taken up in future.
