Removal of cadres and ensuring posting of nurses demanded

Nursing Reform Council, Sirajganj district unit, on Sunday staged demonstrations at Sirajganj 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital premises to press home their one point demand.
The demand belongs to removal of cadres from Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib General Hospital in Sirajganj and ensuring posting of nurses on the suitable posts as per their eligibility.
The demonstrators led by Nursing Service Supervisor of the said hospital brought out a procession that marched the main streets in the town and ended at the same venue, where it was started.
Later, they formed a human chain at the hospital premises and staged sit-in-program protesting to the discrimination in their workplace.
Principal of Sirajganj Nursing Institute Rehana Akhter, Principal of Sheikh Hasina Nursing College Mst. Taslima Khatun, Senior Staff Nurse of 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital Reza-e-Rabbi, Md. Abdul Momin, Md. Rabiul Islam and Popi Khanam, 3rd year student of Sirajganj Nursing Institute Ahsan Habib Sohag, 3rd year student of Safa Makkah Nursing Institute Md. Solaiman, nursing students of Sirajganj Nursing Midwifery Institute and Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital among others participated in the events and spoke on the occasion.
