Actor-singer Nusraat Faria is gearing up to make a musical comeback with a set of new releases. Known for balancing her acting career with music, Faria first debuted as a singer in 2018 with “Pataka”. Since then, she has released four tracks and recorded another song with renowned music producer Fuad Almuqtadir early last year. However, the song is yet to be released — something she recently addressed during a public event, where she also shared insights about her new musical plans.

Explaining the delay, Faria said, “A good production takes coordination among many people, which naturally takes time. I don’t just record a song and release it — I invest in making a visually striking, high-quality music video so that audiences feel they’re seeing something new. That’s why it’s been delayed.”

She revealed that several new songs are already ready for release, adding, “I’ve worked with Fuad Almuqtadir, Sanjoy, and a few other talented music directors. The projects are shaping up beautifully.”

The “Bibaho Obhijaan” star also expressed her desire to collaborate with artists she admires. “There are a few musicians I’ve grown up listening to. If I get to collaborate with them, it would be really exciting. I’m planning for it — let’s see how far it goes,” she said.

Besides music, Faria confirmed she will soon return to the big screen. “By the end of this month, I’ll start shooting for a new film. The official announcement will come very soon,” she shared.

Faria, who has worked in both Dhallywood and Tollywood, noted that she hasn’t appeared in any Indian Bengali projects in recent years. “It’s been quite a while since I worked in Kolkata. There’s no particular reason — visa complications and travel restrictions have made things difficult. Once everything’s back to normal, I’d love to work there again,” she explained.

Last month, the singer performed at a stage show in Canada, and she revealed plans for another international tour in November.
