Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested a convicted accused from Lakshmidanga area in Sherpur district early Monday.

The arrested was identified as Shafiqul Islam, 34, son of Yunus Ali of Soraichandi village in Sirajganj district. He is also an accused of murder and dacoity case. Not only that, he is convicted and sentenced to life term by a court in Sirajganj.

Maruf Hossain, Commander of RAB-12 confirmed the matter on Monday through a press briefing. The wanted accused was also handed over to Sirajganj Sadar police station after completion of legal processes, the RAB official said.
