Raiganj Thana Police on Thursday morning organized an open house day at the Dhangara Union Parishad premises of the upazila with the aim of strengthening community policing and beat policing activities with public participation.
The event was presided over by Raiganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) KM Masud Rana and moderated by Pangasi Police Outpost In-Charge Bablu Kumar, with Sirajganj District Additional Superintendent of Police Md. Hafizur Rahman Hafiz present at the event as chief guest.
At that time, former President of Upazila BNP Shamsul Islam, former General Secretary VP Aynul Haque, Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Md. Ali Mortuza, former Organizing Secretary of Upazila BNP Abul Kalam Azad, President of Jubo Dal Abdur Razzak Rana, General Secretary of Krishak Dal Hafizur Rahman, former General Secretary of Dhanghora Union BNP Rezaul Karim, SI Nil Kamal in charge of beat police of Dhanghora Union and others were present at the programme.
The speakers spoke at the meeting seeking cooperation from the police in eliminating drugs, extortion, terrorism, theft, robbery and snatching, as well as traffic congestion in the market area along with maintaining the law and order situation.
