Former State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak was arrested at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport while trying to escape on Tuesday afternoon.

Earlier yesterday (Monday) around 4:00 pm, the mob also set fire to the house of Zunaid Ahmed Palak in Godown neighborhood of Singra Upazila Sadar of Natore.

Political offices of Awami League were burnt in Natore and Singra. Jahangir Hossain, a resident of Kandivita in Natore city, said Shafiqul Islam and his family members had already fled the house after realizing the possible consequences. The MP’s house stood as a symbol of his corruption. The mob burned houses in anger.
