Bogura Correspondent:

A pedestrian died after being hit by an intercity train in Bogura’s Adamdighi upazila on Sunday.

The accident took place at Chhatiangram Railgate area in the upazila at noon.

The deceased was identified as Nazim Uddin, 35, son of late Khoyer Ali, a resident of Sandira village in the upazila.

Confirming the matter, Santahar Railway Police Station Sub-Inspector Pradeep Kumar Barman said that Nazim Uddin was going somewhere through the Chhatiangram Railgate area. He was hit by the Nilsagar Express intercity train leaving from Dhaka and died on the spot.

Being informed, a team of police recovered the body from the spot.

Legal process was underway in this connection, the SI added.
