A petrol bomb was thrown at a moving train at the Jamtoil Railway Station in Sirajganj. The incident occurred on Wednesday (19th November) at around 11 PM near the Kobadshahkh area of the station when the Chitra Express, traveling from Dhaka to Khulna, was passing through.

The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sirajganj Railway Police Station, Dulal Uddin, confirmed the incident on Thursday (20th November) morning. However, as of Thursday afternoon at 2 PM, no case had been filed regarding the incident.

Abu Hannan, the Station Master of Jamtoil Railway Station, stated that a petrol bomb was thrown at the engine of the Chitra Express traveling from Dhaka to Khulna. He confirmed that no one was injured in the incident, but there was some damage to the train. He added, “It is still unknown who or what group is responsible for this incident.”

Abdul Latif, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kamarkhand Police Station, commented, “I have just heard about this today. I don’t know who did it. Since it is a railway-related incident, the GRP Police Station will be able to provide more details.”
