Twenty seven more members of the the erstwhile Bangladesh Rifles (now Border Guard Bangladesh, or BGB) were released on bail from three prisons in Kashimpur on Thursday morning in the explosives case linked to the Pilkhana carnage.
They were released from Kashimpur High Security Central Jail, Kashimpur Central Jail-1, and Kashimpur Central Jail-2 around 10:00am.
Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun, senior jail superintendent of Kashimpur High Security Central Jail, confirmed that 12 ex-BDR members had been released from that facility.
Meanwhile, Al Mamun, senior jail superintendent of Kashimpur Central Jail-2, reported the release of 10 more BDR members from the jail.
Additionally, five BDR members were released from Kashimpur Central Jail-1, said Jailor of the prison Abu Noor Reza.
