A court in India has released on a 14-day parole alleged Bangladeshi money launderer Prashanta Kumar (PK) Halder and his brother Pranesh Halder to allow them to take part in their mother’s funeral rites in Kolkata.
The two accused have to surrender to the Calcutta City Sessions Court on 18 June.
Their mother Lilabati Halder, also accused of corruption in Bangladesh, died on 28 May at a Kolkata private hospital while undergoing treatment there.
