Afran Nisho recently addressed a past controversy involving Shakib Khan, clarifying that the entire situation was a misunderstanding. He reassured the superstar by saying, “I would like to tell Shakib Khan, please don’t hold on to any hard feelings about it.”

Two years ago, Nisho made his big-screen debut with “Surongo”. During the film’s promotion, certain remarks he made about Shakib Khan sparked widespread debate on social media. Now, reflecting on the incident, he emphasised that there was no ill intent behind his words and expressed his desire to collaborate with Shakib in the future.

“What happened during the release of ‘Surongo’ was completely misconstrued,” Nisho stated. “I’m not trying to justify or explain myself—I’m taking full responsibility in making it clear that I never intended to make derogatory comments about anyone. That has never been my nature, nor will it ever be. Sometimes, conversations bring up both relevant and irrelevant topics. Depending on the flow, someone might choose to either intensify or diffuse a statement.”

Speaking specifically about Shakib Khan, Nisho added, “He is my senior in the industry, someone I deeply respect. During ‘Surongo’s’ release, I spoke about him with great admiration. A person who has contributed so much to the industry deserves nothing but respect, and I will always hold him in high regard. However, if he still holds any reservations about what happened, I would sincerely say, ‘Please don’t dwell on it. I assure you, it was a complete misunderstanding.'”

When asked whether there was a possibility of them sharing the screen in the future, Nisho responded, “So far, I haven’t received any such offers. But if the opportunity arises, I would be more than happy to take it.”
